Pieta - Belle Meade UMC
Located in the narthex of Belle Meade UMC (Nashville, TN), this Pieta was sculpted by Kahlil George Gibran, nephew of Kahil Gibran, the writer of The Prophet. Gibran, the artist/sculpter, was part of the group of artists known in the mid-20th century as the Boston Expressionists. The long view of the nave shows the larger context of this piece.
