Bellevue
Cruisers' Drive-In |
Some
of the coolest cars that come to congregate (with their owners)
at the far corner of Bellevue Mall. Here's a little of what shows
up these Saturday afternoons.
Most recent images of too many cars to mention: taken
September 1, 2007. They include a 1966 Jaguar XKE, 1970 Plymouth
Challenger, a couple of Cobra replicas, and a Ford Galaxie Skyliner.
There is also a bright orange Studeolet, part Studebaker, part
Chevy, part other - quite unique!
Recent
images - taken
July 7, 2007, featuring several
WWII vehicles and a 2007 Porsche GT3.
Photos taken August
(exact date unknown) 2004 - featuring many
VWs, and a Plymouth Prowler.
Here are photos taken August
14, 2004 - featuring many Corvettes,
as well as some other vintages.
Images shot sometime in July,
2004 (date unknown) - featuring a
number of nice 'Rods from the '30s.
Photos of cars that were on display July
10, 2004 - featuring an
Excalibur, convertible Viper, and others!
Images taken on October
2, 2004 - a nice big GREEN Caddy, a Pantera,
and others!
Photos from October,
2004 (date unkown) - a Porsche
928, a really nice T-Bird, and a Hupmobile!
Pictures from September
18, 2004 - 1957 Packard, an MG Midget and a
red Cobra replica are shown.
Photos from May 6,
2006 - A Hummer golf cart,
a Mini Cooper (one of the English-made originals), a few 1970's vintage
Mustangs and many others! Two pages of thumbnails!
Three pages (60 photos) of everything from military vehicles, a vintage
Hudson, a Model T, assorted rods and many others, all taken on May
7, 2005.
An even larger assortment of photos, including a beautiful 1928 Hudson,
one Rolls Royce, a Lotus, and a couple of Model A's - all here - almost
100 photos of at least 30 different cars taken June 3, 2006.

Auburn
Car Show and Auction |
Every
year, some of the wildest, most exotic and some of the most valuable
cars go to the auction block in the mega-auction run by Kruse Auctions
just around the corner from the A-C-D museum. To view pictures
taken at the auction held in 1984, click
here. To view more photos
of photos taken around 1987 (sorry, I'm guessing here!), click

Assorted
car pictures |
Around
the corner from my workplace is a higher-end used car lot. They
were quite gracious to let me spend a few moments hanging around
the lot with my Nikon. Here are a few clicks of a 1989
Ferrari 328 on the lot. And here are a few pix of a 2004
Lamborghini Gallardo.
Both pretty attractive cars! Both photographed during the first
week of September, 2007.

Catfish
Out of Water |
In 2003, Nashville had 51 Catfish "decorated," then
displayed all around Nashville. The City Arts Festival, featuring
these decorated fish, was formed to benefit the city's greenways
and river parks. Later on, the 7 foot fiberglass catfish (decorated
by area artists) were auctioned off and redistributed. In 2004,
my daughters and I went on a belated search for some of the remaining
Catfish, and here is what we found.
